There are tradeshows, and then there’s the National Ready Mix Concrete Association’s ConcreteWorks, which brings all the industry’s top companies together to show off their latest products, services, and innovations. This year’s event is taking place in Grapevine, TX, and if you’re one of the lucky people who get to attend, be sure you put the following four things on your to-do list.

1. Show Off Your Knowledge

For the first time ever, the NRMCA’s political action committee, CONCRETEPAC, will hold a Trivia Night on September 30th at 7:30 PM. Enjoy food and drinks while participating in some concrete-centric and traditional trivia questions for a chance to win some great prizes.

2. Take a Walk

The RMC Research & Education Foundation will once again host the Walk for Wellness on Sunday, October 1st at 8 AM. The walk will take place around the National Mixer Driver Championship and supports the Foundation in their effort to emphasize health within the concrete industry.

3. Cheer On Talented Drivers

The NRMCA’s 12th Annual National Mixer Driver Championship is taking place on October 1st at 7 AM. More than 30 mixer drivers from the United States are competing in this competition, which includes a truck inspection, written test, and skills competition. Last year, Ozinga driver Billy Byrd Sr. took second place at the competition. Billy is once again competing this year, so be sure to see our skilled driver in action and cheer him on as he competes against the best of the best.

4. Visit a Booth…or Two

Check out the ConcreteWorks Exposition Hall and see the latest innovations and services offered by those involved in the concrete industry. If you’re really looking for a good booth to visit, head to the Ozinga Energy booth, where you can learn all about the benefits compressed natural gas offers for your fleet.
