This Christmas season, Ozinga has donned one of our ready mix trucks with more than 20,000 LED lights animated to holiday music. This festive display has been bringing smiles to faces across Illinois and Indiana with its participation in multiple parades. However, recently, the Merry Mixer has been bringing smiles to faces in a whole new way.
Comer Children’s Hospital
On Thursday, December 8, 2017, the Ozinga Merry Mixer arrived at Comer Children’s Hospital in Chicago with coloring books and toy mixer trucks for the patients. Some patients were able to sit in the lobby while the Merry Mixer ran its almost 30-minute display on the street outside for them to see. ABC7 was there to capture the event and the joy it brought.
WGN Toy Drive
On Friday, December 9, 2017, the Ozinga Merry Mixer woke up early to arrive at the WGN Morning News Toy Drive. With lights glowing at 5:45 AM, the Merry Mixer delivered toy Ozinga mixers to support the annual toy drive, which this year is supporting Chance the Rapper’s nonprofit, SocialWorks. Paul Konrad from WGN Morning News spoke with Marty Ozinga IV, President of Ozinga, about the reason for the light-up truck display.
Friday night, the Merry Mixer received a second dose of energy and was parked on State Street in Chicago to bring joy to those on their way home for the weekend. Once again, ABC7 was there to capture this truck—and local weatherman Larry Mowry even did his weather forecast with the truck in the background.
Even though Christmas is only days away, the Ozinga Merry Mixer still has a lot of joy to bring. If you want to see where you can find the Merry Mixer or if you want to schedule it for your public event, contact us today.
