Ozinga, founded in 1928 as a coal and coke yard, has been producing ready mix concrete for almost 70 years and we love what we do. So when we came across this viral video featuring Maricopa High School student Matthew Sabetta (someone who loves concrete trucks as much as we do!), we had to reach out and gift him with something special.
We contacted Maricopa High School Principal Brian Winter who was kind enough to help us send Matthew an extra special present just in time for Christmas.
We sent Matthew and his buddy Jake Marr toy Ozinga concrete trucks with working lights, fold-out mirrors, a tilting hood that reveals the engine block, and a fold-out crank that operates the mixer barrel. We also sent them both a diecast concrete truck collectible and provided one for Principal Winter as well to thank him for his help.
This year for our 90th anniversary we pledged to carry out 90 acts of kindness and Jake’s heartwarming gift inspired us to pay it forward and do something special for him and Matthew.
