Ozinga Donates Fly Ash for 2020 Concrete Industry Management Auction
Ozinga made a “big” donation at the World of Concrete (WOC) Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Auction this year—five bulk hauler loads of fly ash from our Joppa, Illinois plant.
This marked the first year we donated product instead of an experience. In the past, we’ve donated a Chicago sports package, but our new contract at a Joppa power plant gave us the perfect opportunity to try something new. Sport Redi-Mix in Champaign, Illinois snapped up our donation.
“As someone who directly benefitted from the CIM program, it’s a huge honor to be able to give back each year,” said Paul Ozinga, EVP, Ozinga Ready Mix Concrete. “It’s a great way to make a positive impact in our community.”
The CIM Auction, a WOC highlight, set a new record this year, raising more than $1.2 million in gross revenue. Proceeds from the auction support the CIM programs at Middle Tennessee State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, California State University – Chico, Texas State University and the CIM MBA Program.
